Cayman Captive Forum
Our Annual Flagship event is the Cayman Captive Forum. The annual forum has been held conseculatively since 1993 and has grown in stature and size since that time. The Forum is the largest financial conference on the Island, attracting approximately 850 delegates.
This continued success allows IMAC to attract speakers of the highest quality including keynote speakers as follows:
- 2006 - Frank Abignale, an American security consultant, best known for his life story which provided the inspiration for the film "Catch Me If You Can".
- 2007 - Fred Hayes, an astronaut who served as the lunar module pilot during the ill-fated "Apollo 13" space mission which was the subject for the film "Apollo 13".
- 2008 - James Bradley, an American author whose father was one of the six men who became famous for being photographed raising the American flag on Mt. Suribachi on Iwo Jima in WW2. This picture inspired him to author the book " Flags of our Fathers" which became a film.
- 2009 - Ken Schmidt, an independant consultant, who was previously a director of communications for the Harley Davidson Motor Company.
The profits from the Forum largely support the Insurance Managers Association of Cayman Educational Scholarship Fund. The Fund was formed in 1994 to assist with the post-high school education of young Caymanians. (Click here for scholarship fund )
